Arthritis and osteoporosis don’t happen by accident.

Two live talks by Dave Mott, Consultant Physiotherapist with 30 years experience in joint and bone health. Understand what’s driving the problem — and what to do next!

Tickets: £20 per talk • £30 for both 50 spaces per evening

If you’ve ever been told “it’s just wear and tear” or “bone loss is just ageing”, you’ll get a very different perspective here — practical, evidence-informed, and focused on what you can influence.

Why these talks exist

Most people are forced to make decisions about joints and bones with half the story. They’re told to “be careful”, “slow down”, or simply take painkillers and hope for the best.

Dave’s approach is simple: understand cause → change the inputs → improve the outcome.
These evenings are designed to help you understand what’s really going on — and what actually makes a difference.

Clarity What’s happening, why it’s happening, and what matters most.
Confidence Less guessing. Better decisions. Clear next steps.
Control Understand what you can influence (and what you can ignore).
Direction Know where to focus your effort for the biggest return.

How to get osteoarthritis

Thu 5 Feb • 7:00pm 50 spaces

Arthritis doesn’t happen by accident. When we understand the causes, we can finally change the outcome.

  • What’s really driving osteoarthritis (and what “wear and tear” misses)
  • Why pain and scans don’t always match
  • What helps, what doesn’t, and what quietly makes things worse
  • How to stay active without constantly fearing damage

How to get osteoporosis

Thu 19 Feb • 7:00pm 50 spaces

Osteoporosis is silent until you break a bone… then it screams at you. Learning how bone loss works is the key to reversing it.

  • How bone density and bone strength actually work
  • Why fractures are often the first warning sign
  • What influences bone loss (and what genuinely improves bone health)
  • Practical steps you can start taking immediately

Why listen to Dave?

Dave has spent 30 years working with the real-world versions of these problems — not just the textbook ones. The goal is to give you understanding you can use, not information you forget by tomorrow.

What you can expect on the night

  • Clear explanations (no jargon, no fluff)
  • Context on what’s common, what’s not, and what to prioritise

FAQ

Do I need a diagnosis to attend?

No. These talks are designed for anyone who is concerned, curious, in pain, or wants to understand what’s happening before it becomes a bigger problem.

Is this suitable if I’m already doing physio or taking medication?

Yes. The content will help you understand what your treatment is doing, what to prioritise, and how to think about long-term outcomes alongside any current care.

Will there be pressure to book treatment afterwards?

No. The focus is education. If you want further help afterwards, you’ll know what to ask for — whether that’s with us or elsewhere.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes — and it’s often helpful. Just remember seating is limited to 50 per evening, so book early if you’d like to come together.
